The fall conference of 2025 is a comprehensive event offering insights, education, and resources for caregivers and professionals. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on dementia care, connect with others in the community, and explore practical strategies to support individuals and families impacted by dementia.
Conference Schedule
Sponsor and Vendor Check-In
7:00 - 8:00 am
Sponsors and vendors may check in and set up their tables. Visit the check-in table in the lobby, and a volunteer will show you to your pre-assigned vendor table.

8:00 - 9:00 am
Our check-in table will be in the main lobby of the Four Points. Pick up your program and tote bag, then head upstairs to visit our sponsors and community resource vendors before finding a seat in the ballroom.

Session Topic: Medical Update for Dementias.
This presentation will review the latest updates on the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Topics will include management of mid-life risk factors, non-pharmacological treatments, and emerging medications. The presentation will also include an overview of local, state, regional and national resources, supports, and services for people and families living with memory loss and dementia.

Session Topic: Having conversations early about hoped for outcomes for future life and health care is worth its weight in gold for those who have a diagnosis with known loss of capacity at some point in the disease trajectory. Early conversations give the individuals living with cognitive impairment a say in the future of their care and can offer amazing peace of mind for both them and their families.

Skillbuilding for Dementia Caregivers. Dementia changes the ways that the person living with the diagnosis experiences the world. The most successful caregivers are those who understand these changes, and can adjust their communication style to avoid misunderstanding and conflict. Caregiver burnout is reduced when you understand how to stay in the reality of the person you support, leaning into empathy and curiosity. Come build your caregiving IQ!

Session 4:
Samantha "Sam" Jolly
2:30 - 3:15 pm
Session Topic: This session will guide attendees through the everyday applications of improv, and how the power of "Yes, And..." can bring joy, agency, and creativity to the lives of those navigating dementia and other memory loss conditions. Sammy will facilitate several improv exercises that are accessible to all physical ability levels and appropriate for people living with dementia.

End of conference - Turn in evaluations and distribute CEU's
3:30 - 4:00 pm
